Shane Carey

Originally a bass player from San Diego, CA, Shane Carey picked up an unusual stringed instrument called the Chapman Stick in 1999 and never looked back. In 2001, he moved to Phoenix, fell in love with improv, and joined the Comedy SportZ team which later became Apollo 12. At about the same time that he combined the two interests by providing improvised scores for Apollo 12 shows, he also became the accompanist for a new troupe, The Remainders, who performed improvised musicals. Though currently focusing on music away from improv, he can still occasionally be seen and heard playing with various Torch troupes, including Dangerville and Pacto Suicido.
