On Harold Night, The Torch’s finest perform the classic longform improv format! First created in 1960s San Francisco by Del Close and The Committee, Close and Charna Halpern refined the Harold in the 80s at iO Chicago (formerly ImprovOlympic) where the world-famous format is still performed nightly. An audience suggestion powers an exploration of themes and ideas by a team of improvisors who then create an intricate world of fun & interesting characters.
Performing in June 8th’s Harold Night:

– Happy Birthday, Carrie Fisher!
Harold Night is followed immediately by Harold Jam where students & veteran performers are randomly selected onto a team to perform the night’s final Harold!
