Back to Basics w/ Julie Brister

It’s easy for us as improvisers to find our cozy little improv niche and develop habits that may work for us, but aren’t really satisfying in the long run. We can often lose sight of some of our basic skills if we get too lazy. These fundamentals, listening, reacting and agreement should provide a strong foundation upon which a scene is built. We can’t create a truly successful scene if we aren’t committing our reality or connecting with our scene partners. This workshop will focus on reminding you of the basics of improv and serve as a reminder of their importance to us as improvisers.

Date & Time: Sunday, March 19th – 11:00am-2:00pm

Location: Torch Theatre

Cost: $65

Requirement: This workshop is useful for both intermediate and advanced students. Torch Level 3 or equivalent longform scenework experience.
