Back To Life, Back To Improv

The Torch had a fantastic time in Austin for the Out Of Bounds Festival this last week and we hope you had a great holiday yourself.

This weekend we get back to it with lots of wonderful things up on the horizon.

Bingo Jam is this Saturday at 7pm – it’s not only fun to watch but open to everyone to perform (call to perform 6:30pm).

We have a full line-up of shows on Friday and Saturday – including a little surprise show from Galapagos. This show is a fundraiser to help them to get Hawaii for their great Improvaganza!!

This month we will be holding onto every last minute of Xchel Herndandez who has been such a large part of The Torch Theatre community since before it’s origination in 2007. He performed in Light Rail Pirates then and has since joined and started Los Subtitulos, Judd and Flip among many more. He will be performing a ton this month before he goes on with his journey through life.  If you come to one of his many shows tell him to “Have A Good Luck.”

Keep an eye out for Ghostfest! the last weekend of October – a whole 36+ marathon of improv featuring some visitors from far away lands, ghouly late night sillyness and even a whole morning of family friendly entertainment. The information will be available soon – however, we are still taking submissions for those interested.

Finally – October marks The Torch Theatre’s 5 Year Anniversary. It is so amazing to have come so far – with 1 year in our Theatre at 4721 – things could not be better. We would have never done it without the help and support of our amazing community. There will be lots of great things happening in celebration so check back soon for more information about that.
